Description
This decorative figure looks like a stump or a cut of a tree trunk, and this is no coincidence. Before you, there is a real piece of Indonesian petrified wood, which is found on the island of Java. The age of such a “log” is estimated at 16–23 million years. In fact, in front of you is a part of a real tree that grew millions of years ago in a tropical forest. The petrification process has preserved its shape, texture of wood, irregularities and even annual rings pattern. Such an object will look great as a coffee table, as a stand for an abstract sculptural composition, or as an independent piece of furniture.
