Description
A fragment of the Viñales meteorite that fell in Cuba in 2019. The shape of the fragment is rounded and has a smooth surfey relief. The surface typically has a black-brown, slightly glossy melting crust with reddish patches. Inside the specimens are light gray in color, the texture is uniform, without distinct grains of material (chondrules). Some specimens contain crystalline particles of iron-nickel composition up to 1 mm in size.
