Description
Megalodon, one of the largest predators in the history of the planet, is one of those extinct animals that, without exaggeration, is iconic. Its dimensions are a constant subject of controversy between paleontologists. The calculations showing its jaw clenching force seem fantastic, while its large triangular teeth are valued as collector's item.
As a rule, megalodon teeth are shown in their unprocessed form, but in this case, you have a polished specimen.
Polishing reveals the color range of the tooth, making it brighter and more saturated. Additionally, small defects of the surface layer are eliminated. For example, without polishing, it would be difficult to appreciate the richness of shades of brown and orange, characteristic of the findings of North Carolina. Still, today these specimens can become a highlight of your interior or a nice addition to your collection.
