Description
Ceratites are ammonites from the Triassic deposits of Germany. They have a massive shell with well-defined transverse ribs. The lobed line is simple and wavy, which indicates the antiquity of this class of ammonites. Its pattern makes the clam shell look like a coiled snake.
Well-preserved ceratites ammonites are not common, which increases the collector's value of this specimen.
