Description
The tooth that you can see belonged to one of the most unusual predators among dinosaurs - the spinosaurus.
The old models depicted Spinosaurus as a desert dweller with a huge hump on its back, which bore reserves of fat. However, the latest data show that it led a semi- aquatic lifestyle. Seacoasts, river deltas and swamps were the habitat of this predator. Its narrow jaws and long, sharp teeth were perfect to prey on large fish.
The Spinosaurus was no less dangerous for the animals that came to the watering place. At the same time, the Spinosaurus was larger than the Tyrannosaurus Rex, reaching a length of 15 meters (according to some sources, 18 m) and a weight of about 7 tons.
